Black Rifle Coffee is a coffee company founded by veterans of the United States Armed Forces. The Black Rifle Coffee Company (BRCC) is based in Salt Lake City in Utah. The organisation first gained national attention when it hired around 50 people in 2017 after pledging to build a team of 10,000 veterans, similar to another huge coffee venture, Starbucks, that pledged to provide employment for 10,000 refugees.
Further in this article, we will get into everything you need to know about the Black Rifle Coffee Company.
Black Rifle Coffee – Know All the Details
The Utah based coffee company describes itself as a company that stands for more than “more than high-quality coffee.” The official website of the Black Rifle Coffee Company reads, “We are a Veteran-founded business operated by principled men and women who honour those who protect, defend, and support our country.”
The organisation was founded by former U.S. Army Green Beret Evan Hafer in 2014 and was founded with the aim to “serve coffee and culture to people who love America.”
BRCC owes a large portion of its success to the extraordinary work ethics and discipline of its veteran employees. The company aims to build a 10,000 member veteran team, whilst also providing support to other service members in successfully transitioning to the world of entrepreneurship.
The Black Rifle Coffee Company also provides assistance to US veterans in launching their own businesses, in order to help more initiatives like the BRCC turn into a reality.

Black Rifle Coffee adds new veteran member to its team as Chief Human Resources Officer
The newest addition to the BRCC team is a U.S. Navy Veteran and experienced corporate executive Martin “Marty” Manning who has been appointed to the post of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
Marty says that joining the BRCC team is a high point in his career, adding, “I’m thrilled to be working with the entire BRCC team to achieve our growth objectives, including hiring 10,000 Veterans and ensuring they thrive in their civilian careers by leveraging the skills and attributes they exhibited in the military. It’s an honor to serve those who’ve defended the values that make this the greatest country in the world.”
Marty is the most recent in a string of senior BRCC leadership appointments that will help the company fulfill its mission of serving the Veteran and first-responder communities while rapidly scaling revenue. Executive Chairman Roland Smith (US Army), Chief Retail Officer Heath Nielsen (US Army), and Chief Technology Officer Chris Clark are among the recent senior leadership additions (U.S. Army).
Marty, who will be based in Salt Lake City, will be in charge of the Black Rifle Coffee Company’s talent acquisition and development strategies as BRCC enters its next phase as a growing omnichannel lifestyle brand. Marty, as CHRO, will aid in the execution of BRCC’s company-wide mission to hire Veterans and support them with transitioning into civilian life.
Marty will also spearhead BRCC’s participation in two U.S. Department of Defense programs: DOD SkillBridge, which provides internship opportunities to transitioning Veterans, and the Military Spouse Employment Partnership, which focuses on hiring military spouses. BRCC also collaborates with NEW Apprenticeship to provide work experience to Veterans interested in careers in marketing and data science.
