On the technical side, we learn that “ SQL Server on Ubuntu Pro uses the XFS file system with Direct I / O and Forced Unit Access (FUA) for reliable synchronization with the underlying NVMe SSD storage media ”.
It can also take advantage of persistent memory (Pmem) when offered by the platform. “ SQL Server on Ubuntu Pro 20. 04 LTS supports high availability scenarios through Corosync and Pacemaker, with a specialized Azure Closing Agent ”.
