The tech company announced the app for Truth Social on Tuesday, which has turned into a popular alternative to some of the older, more established social media sites, in part due to concerns that they may selectively censor content.
According to publicly available data, Samsung controls 30% of the domestic smartphone market, so the inclusion of Truth Social in the Samsung Galaxy Store “represents a significant milestone” for the platform’s availability in the United States.
“Samsung has been great — they’re very easy to work with, and they don’t care about politics,” TMTG CEO Devin Nunes told FOX Business Tuesday. “They just want to conduct their business, get it done, and move on.”
In late September, TMTG began the submission process for the Samsung Galaxy Store. The platform was made available to users less than two weeks after the initial submission date.
Former President Donald Trump’s Truth Social media app was launched earlier this year in February and has become quite popular among conservatives and Trump loyalists.

- Click on ‘install’ in the page that opens up next

Update on Efforts to Enter the Google Play Store
“TMTG has no desire to litigate its business matters in the public sphere, but for the record, has promptly responded to all inquiries from Google. It is our belief that all Americans should have access to Truth Social no matter what devices they use. We look forward to Google approving Truth Social at their earliest convenience,” read a statement released by the Truth Social team a while back.
According to a Google spokesperson, Truth Social, the Twitter-like social network backed by former President Donald Trump, is currently unavailable on Google’s Android app store due to flaws in the app’s content moderation systems.
Many of Trump’s supporters continue to use an app that does not meet Google Play Store standards, that include policies against incitement and physical threats of violence.
“On August 19 we notified Truth Social of several violations of standard policies in their current app submission and reiterated that having effective systems for moderating user-generated content is a condition of our terms of service for any app to go live on Google Play,” said a spokesperson from Google.
