According to a statement sent by Trump’s Save America PAC, this Republican is the most recent one to sign on with Trump’s Unselect Committee in Arizona. Additionally, Trump said that Bowers told him after the election of 2020 that he would not have been re-elected to his Arizona House seat if he had not had help from the previous President.

What does Bowers have to say

Even though the former President and his lawyer Rudy Giuliani appealed for a deferral or a change in the state’s 2020 election results, the Speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives denied it, adding Arizona to the lengthy list of contested states that Trump lost. He mentions that a campaign to recall Bowers from office was unsuccessful in his state.

In February, the Arizona Republican Party successfully stopped legislation that would have given the state legislature the authority to overturn the results of either the primary or the general election.

Anyone who asserts that they have the authority to nullify the results of a vote taken by the general population on any matter must present evidence to back up their claim. Bowers addressed Capitol Media Services then and asked the same questions regarding this matter.

What role does Bowers play in the party

Bowers was born on October 20, 1952, although he is better known by his stage name, “Rusty” Bowers, which he adopted when he began performing.

He is a well-known figure in American politics because he is the current Speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives.

In the state legislature, he has served as the representative for the 25th district since 2015 while also being a member of the Republican Party. In 2019, he was elected to serve as Speaker. As a representative of Arizona’s 21st legislative district, Bowers served in the Arizona House of Representatives from 1993 until 1997 and then in the Arizona Senate from 1997 until 2001. His first term in the House was from 1993 until 1997, and his second term was from 1997 until 2001.

Along with Representative Liz Cheney, who serves as the vice-chairperson of the select committee, and Wandrea Shaye Moss, ho will also be testifying in front of the committee later on Tuesday, he was presented with the 2022 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award.

In his testimony before the House committee investigating the invasion of the United States Capitol on January 6, 2019, Bowers defined how he resisted time and time again a stress initiative from retired President Donald Trump, Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani, and many Republicans to eliminate electoral votes for Joe Biden.

According to what he told the committee on Tuesday, the previous President’s demands breached his duty as a legislator and his most fundamental bedrock values. For him, the idea that the Constitution of the United States is in some way guided by God and cannot be disregarded lightly as an article. However, Bowers said that he supported Trump’s campaign but that he did not want to win via cheating.

On January 6, Trump made his speech at the hearings while at the same time making accusations of election fraud and insulting previous officials such as former Vice President Mike Pence and former Attorney General William Barr. Now Bowers has jumped to join the list.
Trump, already frustrated with the panel for having “no representation,” has now lashed out at other Republicans who testified unfavorably to him.
