Tudor Dixon Running Mate – Who is Her Running Mate?
Tudor Dixon, the Republican candidate for governor of Michigan, announced earlier this year that she has chosen former state Rep. Shane Hernandez of Port Huron as her running mate.
Shane Hernandez expressed his delight, saying that he was “honoured” to be chosen by Dixon to help challenge incumbent Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist. Acccording to Hernandez, the Michigan gubernatorial candidate’s “vision is the right one for Michigan and I believe we will defeat Whitmer and begin to repair the damage she’s caused to our families, students, and business owners.”
Shane Hernandez is an American politician and architect who was a member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021 from the 83rd district.
Hernandez ran to succeed Paul Mitchell, who chose not to run for reelection to the United States House of Representatives for Michigan’s 10th congressional district in the 2020 elections. In the Republican Party primary election on August 4, he was defeated by Lisa McClain. Tudor Dixon chose Hernandez as her running mate for the upcoming 2022 Michigan gubernatorial election on August 19, 2022.
Hernandez, a conservative Republican, has always believed in limited government, fiscal responsibility, and individual liberties.
Hernandez believes that the top issues affecting families the most are public safety, education, infrastructure, and the economy. He expresses his views on a few of these issues. “Crime rates in the state of Michigan have gone through the roof, murder rates are up 30% car jacking rates are up 700%. It’s unbelievable, but it’s true,” says Hernandez.
