Truth Social is a social media platform founded by Trump Media & Technology Group, a company owned by Former President Donald Trump. He founded Truth Social after he was banned from Twitter after the U.S. Capitol Attack on 6th January 2021. This application was founded earlier last year in October 2021.
The main objective of creating this social media platform was to create a safe space where users can share their views and opinions about political matters or otherwise without fear of being banned from the platform. This social media platform has been created in order to promote and encourage freedom of speech and expression.
Truth Social is described as America’s “Big Tent” social media platform that encourages an open, free, and honest global conversation without discriminating against political ideology on its official website. On the 21st of April 2022, Truth Social announced that they would be changing their web platform to Rumble’s cloud to upgrade the performance of their application in order to provide the best user experience.
It has been created to give the big tech companies a run for their money. Big tech companies are notorious for limiting and suppressing the voices and opinions of their users. Truth Social was launched for iOS users in February 2022 earlier this year but work is still in progress to make it available for android users.

Problems faced by Truth Social
On 21 February, Truth Social was one of the App Store’s most downloaded apps, but many who downloaded it were unable to use it. Users who wanted to sign up to Truth Social have been put on long waitlists. Truth Social has been hamstrung by technical issues, including a waiting list that has blocked hundreds of thousands of potential users during its crucial first weeks online. The users complained that not only were they being put on a waitlist but also they couldn’t understand what they were getting into as the terms of service page of the application was down.
There were some lucky users who managed to create an account but were then shoved into the eternal waitlists. Despite being out for more than a month, Truth Social still seems to be in the process of rolling out. The complaints of the users haven’t stopped and many users are very disappointed with the application. A big complaint made by the users is why Trump wasn’t active on his own platform. This had raised many doubts in the minds of the users.
Trump eliminated all of the users’ qualms regarding the matter of being in touch with him by posting “I’M BACK!’ on Truth Social. He also ended the post with a reference to his last post on Twitter, after which he was banned.
The Truth Social customer service
The users of Truth are looking for a place where their grievances will be redressed but unfortunately, no official customer service is available yet. There is no means to contact any of the employees of this company. Users have tried contacting Trump Media & Technology Corp (TMTG) too but no response was received. Taking the problems faced by this Media Tech company even further, Truth Social’s help centre page is also inactive. We will provide more updates on this issue as and when they arise.
