The current President of the United States of America, Joe Biden currently, declared the release of the first round of capitalizing for a nationwide EV charging network, funding the building of stations in 35 states. “We’re building 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations across the country. The great American road trip will be fully electrified,” posted Biden on Twitter.
Elon Musk on Sunday suggested Joe Biden purchase a Tesla, as the US President opened up plans to build 5 lakh electric vehicle (EV) charging stations all over the country.
Biden currently announced the release of the first round of funding for a countrywide EV charging network, funding the construction of stations in 35 states.
“We’re building 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations across the country. The great American road trip will be fully electrified,” posted Biden on Twitter.
Musk replied: “Or you can just buy a Tesla.”
Biden further posted from @POTUS account: “You hired me to get things done – I hope I’m making you proud.”
Musk again replied: “I kinda like this post tbh (to be honest).”
Last year, Musk said that no one was looking at Biden after the President didn’t take the name of Tesla during his State of the Union address.
Musk told CNBC, “Nobody is watching the State of the Union.”
Joe Biden had approved Ford and GM’s combined $18 billion investments to build electric vehicles; on the other hand, Tesla was not quoted in Biden’s address to the nation.
Later, Elon Musk tweeted directly to Biden, saying Tesla had created over 50,000 US jobs building electric vehicles and was investing more than double GM + Ford combined.
Elon Musk, Tesla CEO, had said that Joe Biden was treating the American public like fools.
Although, Biden, in his first-ever public acknowledgment of Musk-run Tesla’s offer to the world of EVs, had said that the country is making a reliable national public charging network to cope with the Chinese challenge in the EV market.
Biden had said, “From iconic companies like GM and Ford building out new electric vehicle production to Tesla, our nation’s largest electric vehicle manufacturer, to innovative younger companies, manufacturing is coming back to America after decades.”
